THE BEGINNING OF DIAMOND GROUP
Diamond Group started over 10 years ago as a one-person operation with no formal training, just a willingness to learn the trade from the ground up. What began as self-taught trial and error turned into something more serious once it became clear what a properly installed floor could do for a space. That drive led to training under some of the top experts in flooring and epoxy application, refining the craft until “good enough” wasn’t good enough anymore.
Today, Diamond Group is a family-run business built on that same foundation: real skill, earned the hard way, and a refusal to cut corners. Every floor we install carries that same standard we held ourselves to from day one.

FOUNDER & CEO
Carlos Valderrama is the owner and CEO of Diamond Group Epoxy Floors, bringing over 10 years of hands-on experience in concrete coatings to homeowners across the Portland metro area. Originally from Venezuela, Carlos has built Diamond Group as a small, family-run business rooted in the same values that matter most to him at home: quality craftsmanship, honesty, and taking care of people. Married with kids, he understands what it means to want a home you’re proud of, and that passion carries directly into every floor his team installs.
For Carlos, epoxy flooring is more than a trade. It’s a way to help people fall back in love with the spaces they live in every day. He takes genuine pride in transforming worn, cracked concrete into something that feels like part of the home instead of an afterthought, and he’s just as passionate about teaching as he is about installing. Whether it’s walking a customer through how their new floor works or sharing his knowledge with others looking to learn the craft, Carlos believes the best work comes from people who understand what they’re doing and why, a philosophy that shapes everything Diamond Group builds.
